Cancer sucks! It has affected too many of my loved ones, but people like Gilbert Rea (my first softball coach and my friend Sabrina’s dad) inspire me as he faced cancer with a no-holds-barred approach. I love a true warrior!

So, I am participating in this year’s Day of Hope, with Team V. Lopez Jr. and Sons, in honor of Gilbert being in remission and to pay respect to all of my family and friends whom cancer took from this life.
